Start Your Thanksgiving with the Park Glen Turkey Trot
Looking for a fun way to kick off Thanksgiving morning in the Alliance area?
Lace up your running shoes and join the annual Park Glen Turkey Trot — a North Fort Worth tradition that brings the community together for a festive and meaningful start to the holiday. Whether you're an avid runner or just want to enjoy a relaxed stroll with family and friends, there's a place for you at this year’s event.
What to Expect at the Turkey Trot
The Park Glen Turkey Trot features two distance options:
- 5K Certified Run – Great for those who enjoy a timed challenge and want to start the holiday with an energizing race.
- 2K Fun Run/Walk – Ideal for families, kids, strollers, and even well-behaved dogs!
Both routes wind through the scenic streets and park paths of the Park Glen neighborhood, starting and finishing at Alliance United Methodist Church (7904 Park Vista Blvd.).
After you cross the finish line, stick around for refreshments, community connection, and that great pre-feast sense of accomplishment.
Why This Event Matters
Now in its 20th year, the Park Glen Turkey Trot is more than just a morning run — it’s a fundraiser that supports the Park Glen Neighborhood Association’s Scholarship Program, helping local students pursue their educational goals.
It’s a win-win: You get a memorable holiday experience, and your participation gives back directly to the community.
