It's officially the 22nd year. Tonight, the City of Haslet lights up the sky for its Annual Independence Day Celebration — and if you've never been, let this be your sign to finally go. If you have been, you already know: this event is the real Haslet. No crowds bigger than the community can handle, no parking nightmares, no ticket lines. Just neighbors, vendors, and fireworks over Haslet Community Park.

Here's everything you need to know to have a great night.

Before You Head Out — Know This

📋 Quick checklist for a smooth night:

  • Chairs and blankets — welcome throughout Community Park and Gammill Park
  • Coolers — allowed, but no alcohol and no glass containers. Coolers are subject to inspection.
  • Sunscreen and bug spray — it's North Texas in June. Don't skip these.
  • Cash and cards — vendors accept both
  • Tents — not allowed
  • Pets — strongly discouraged (heat + loud noise = rough night for them)
  • Personal fireworks — prohibited within Haslet city limits
  • 🅿️ Handicapped parking — located behind the Library
  • 🎡 Kids activities — train ride, bounce houses, and more. All FREE. Watch for stage giveaways!

Best viewing spot tip: The fireworks launch near Nance Field on Schoolhouse Rd — keep that in mind when you're picking your chair spot. Both Community Park and Gammill Park offer great sightlines. Get there before 6 PM if you want prime real estate for your blanket.

After the show: All traffic exits south on Hwy 156 — one way only. Plan accordingly and don't leave anything behind; anything left at the end of the event gets tossed.

22 Years — and Still Going Strong

Think about that for a second. Haslet has been throwing this party for 22 years. That's not a marketing stunt — that's a community that actually likes living here. The Parks & Recreation Board and City Council put this on every year because the people of Haslet show up for it, and they keep showing up.

That kind of civic investment is a quiet signal that buyers and investors often miss. A city that maintains annual community traditions, keeps its parks well-run, and offers free events for its residents is a city that's managing itself well. It's one of the things that makes Haslet and the Alliance Area of North Fort Worth such a consistent draw — the lifestyle holds up, not just the listing price.

If you're attending tonight for the first time, welcome. If you've been coming every year, you already know: this is what Haslet is made of.

Quick Answers

Is the Haslet Independence Day event free?

Yes — admission and parking are both completely free. Parking is accessed from Hwy 156 and the lot exits south only after the event wraps up.

What time do the fireworks start in Haslet TX tonight?

Vendors open at 6 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026. Fireworks start just after dark. The launch site is near Nance Field on Schoolhouse Rd — pick your viewing spot in Community Park or Gammill Park with that in mind.

Can I bring my dog to the Haslet fireworks celebration?

Pets are strongly discouraged — the combination of North Texas heat and fireworks noise makes it a rough night for animals. Leave them home with the AC on and the TV going. They'll thank you.
